Lislagan Primary School, Ballymoney

School Council

At Lislagan Primary School, our School Council plays an important role in giving pupils a real voice in school life.
Each councillor has been elected by their classmates, showing the trust pupils have that their ideas, opinions, and suggestions will be listened to and valued. Being part of the School Council helps children develop confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of responsibility.
Our School Council has a meaningful impact on many areas of school life. They share ideas from their peers, help make decisions that improve our school, and work closely with staff to ensure pupil voice is at the heart of what we do. Over the year, our councillors take part in a wide range of activities — from organising fun days and special events to leading charity fundraising campaigns that support both our school and the wider community.
We are incredibly proud of our School Council and the positive difference they make. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment help make Lislagan a happy, inclusive, and forward?thinking school where every pupil feels heard.
